after the wedding I plan on flying back with him. If I change my name on my social security card and driver's license right away but not on my passport, will I be able to fly with it in my maiden name? Passports take a while to get changed so I wanted to wait until we get to Germany to change it.
Help anyone???

As far as the Air Force cares (at least the Finance office) as long as your SSN is correct and you have a Wedding Certificate and any other legal documentation, it doesn't matter.

He needs to check with MPF and the Finance office to make sure that your travel expenses are covered so you aren't in for any surprises. If memory serves, as long as you were married before he left for that station overseas, your travel should be covered. Make sure that your ticket is purchased from the SATO office so you get reimbursed. If you purchase it yourself you might have to eat the cost.

However, the passport issue is another story entirely. I would call the State Department and ask that question. That and I would travel with a copy of my Wedding Certificate and paperwork.

When booking travel the name on your ticket should always match your license and passport. If one of them is not the same as the name on your ticket you may have problems.

I really don't know the answer, but I know for a fact that his base will have the information you need. You need to have him call his squardron's first seargent's office and he can ask what office will have the correct information, I would suspect that his SATO office would know, but the "First Shirt" will be able to direct him to find the correct answer.

you should change every thing at once so you don't run in to trouble when you get ready to leave. you don't want to get ready to leave then all of a sudden something gos wrong. it would be the safest way to go.
