Disk failure to write may be due to bad blank media or sometimes very cheap cds are not recognized well by commercial cd burners like Nero.

Nero burning rom is the best in the industry. Since it came with your drive or you some how have it, its a plus point for you.

Did you check "verify written data" after recording? if the failure is in that step of verification of written data, then it is certainly a bad disk. Also, how old is your cd burner? If it is fairly new(within last 3 years), it is probbaly running fine.

Anyway, the free alternative is cdburnerxp Pro.

it is also very powerful.

Hope it helps.

you may need to check for updates, or slow down the writing speed, that normally helps.
