Well as you said doing situps alone is not going to cause you to lose weight. Try running it tones everything at once!

When doing crunches try to mix it up so that you are not focusing on one area alone!

The word you want is "lose." People "lose" weight. They have "loose" change in their pocket.

Crunches won't do it - sorry. You're wasting your time. If you want to burn off your belly fat, you need to engage in some strenuous aerobic exercise, like running or cycling. Even then, if you don't change your diet, you still will have problems losing belly flab.

Try a no-carb diet. Cut out all carbs for a couple of weeks, and you'll be pleasanly surprised at the results. Get back to us with how much you've lost, because you will definitely lose. No carbs. Just animal products for 2 weeks. Eat as much as you want, You won't go hungry, and you'll melt your body fat off.

I have a six pack. It's genetics. You can trick your genetics by increasing your cardio. I do crunches, situps, pelvic tilts, side bends etc. I only do 20 reps 3 sets maybe 2 times a week. You have to lower your body fat to get your six pack. To lose weight on your stomach requires working your whole body. You can't spot train. Wherever you gain weight first is the last place to lose. Running always works. It is total body fitness.

Seriously, I'm not trying to be funny, but if that's the ONLY thing you're going to do, and in two weeks, I'd say about 5000. You won't really lose too much weight doing sit-ups and crunches, but I wanted to answer your question. You need to throw in some cardi and weight training (and please don't buy into the feminine belief that you'll get "BIG" because you're lifting weights - it will help you to become more toned and you'll look better and resistance training helps you to burn more calories overall).

Two weeks is hard. The stomach is the first place fat goes because it helps to protect the organs. The best thing to say for stomach excesses is variety and repetitions close second. Research pilates and remember that the more tired you get, the harder your body has to work, and the more exercises you get out of it.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

This is not going to make you lose weight. You might get a slightly smaller waist, but it is not going to do anything else. You are replacing fat with muscle, which actually weighs more. To lose weight you need to do cardio several times a week.

You would be better off doing jumping jacks, jump rope or jump squats that will get your heart rate up and you will burn more fat. Add running and or walking.

my dear, how much do you weigh and how much do you want to loose? its important cos there is no 'magic' number of exercise routines or sessions to do other than being consistent

Nothing works faster than "fast-walking" for reducing size and weight... nothing!!!
