It's a fine place. The arts scene is much better than you'd expect from a city of 40,000 and the summers (there are many nearby beaches and parkings ... I'm into hiklng) are magnificent.

I lived there for 25 years. I'd still be there if my kids hadn't moved to another city, and begged me to join them.
It was a good place to live, people were friendly. Unfortunately, with the closing of the pulp mill late last year it's been a depressing situation for the 800 people laid off.

I've been there. In February of 1993 or so... It was cold. And dark. And small.

I imagine it is great in the summer, though, being so far north!

i lived there for 4 years. i would never never never ever ever ever ever live there again. nothing to do with the city itself just the people..... i know i will get all kinds of thumbs down but i dont really care.....
