my husband was lighting the fireplace with kerosene and burned his hand and arm is there anything i can put on it to stop the burning

If it's not too bad, sunburn sprays/lotions are helpful. Solarcaine, basically anything that ends in "-caine." They have topical anesthetics. I found one to be best, but unfortunately can't remember which right now...

Aloe really does help, too.

BTW, at this point do I really need to point out that you don't use kerosene in the fireplace?

You want to put a burn cream on it asap and call your doctor or take him to the ER. You dont want to put anything else but a burn cream on it because it will make the burn worse. If you dont have any burn cream then apply a cold washcloth until you get him to the doctor. Keep it cool and dry as much as possible. But get him to a doctor ASAP!!!! best bet is the ER.

go to the local 24hr. pharmacy. you will find cream for burns. if burnt bad light stinging, heavy stinging go to er... only one layer of skin we get!

ice. ice until it is numb and then see doctor. get pain pills and edam. ccan get infected and worse. he couldeasily losethat arm and then who will pay for christmas.?
