I have contacts in msn messenger, If I download windows live messenger, will those contacts be there or do I have to invite them again ? Also, is live messenger ready, or should I keep my msn messenger right now ?

MSN Messenger has now become Windows Live Messenger. All your contacts will be preserved, because they are stored on Microsoft's servers.
I'm using the beta version of Windows Live Messengar and so far its working out very well for me.

When I installed Live Messenger my contacts remained intact. From my experience Live Messenger seems OK. In case you do not need the new features of the Live Messenger you can keep your classic msn one. Besides the Windows Live service is still BETA. Myself I am using the Windows Live features and I haven’t noticed any issue so far.

Once you install the Live messenger it will auto update all your contacts from Msn Messenger. No need to worry about it. Download and install Live messenger and enjoy the new features.

Yes you have all your contacts of msn.I myself use windows live and its working great though it is still the beta version but it works fine
