I would suggest waiting, especially for the Tattoo. Your Mom is just trying to protect you from getting something that you will hate in a few years time, or that you will just grow out of.
The nose piercing dose have the advantage of being able to be removed (unlike a tattoo) but it may leave you with some scarring. Make sure you think carefully about all the ups and downs associated with any kind of body art, and make sure you are getting it for your own solid reason's not just because your boyfriend thinks it would be hot, or your Mom doesn't want you too.
Good luck, I am sure that when you are ready both you and your Mom will be able to make an adult decision about this. Remember that in the end it is your body, so if your Mom won't consent now you can always wait until you are old enough to go on your own.

At 13 i know you have many ideas all popping out at you at once. And of course it always seems cool to run with the friends and if they get a tat or a nose ring. I know the desire to get one too, after all they are your friends. Here is something you might want to think about. It is cool to hang with some friends and a little fun is ok. But these friends you have right now they are tempory. You will find in real life that most of these young people and your peers of today will just be memories in the future. They will move on and you will move on that is the way live is. So pick good friends that bring out the best in you and help you become a good person. But as far as getting a tat or a nose ring. I would wait until i had gotten much older as a tat is not a dress. And you know that your likes in cloths and even food are still changing do you not know that any tat you would get today would not be something that would reflect on who you are tomorrow. So in effect a tat should not be considered until you are grown. What if you got a tat of a devil and then became a christian. I think you get the idea. A tattoo is not tempory and they are real painful to get taken off and to recolor then every 3 years is costly they are a lifelong curse costing to much money and costing for a lifetime.
Also you will find that as you get older there will be times you do not desire to have a tattoo. At some social events they are a sin a lower class of people. And you do not want a tattoo that is in a place that is public. A nose ring is thought of in the same way people with nose rings are thought of as strange, and looked on as a lower class of people. Also nose rings do cause long term problems with the health of the nose and the sines so that is not to bright a move.
At 13 i know this all seems far fetched but in reallity i am right on the money. PS i have a brother with a tattoo on his left arm he is always covering it up now for his bussiness. And i have a friend that did the pericing thing to death. Now she is married to a man whom is not worthy to marry any one and has three children and has gained 150 pounds and is thought of as trailer trash and lives like it because well she looks the part.
People are influenced by what they see. That is something for a young person to really remember as they are growing up. Youth should not be waisted on perminate stuff like tattos or pericings when you have a whole world to explore. You know it is a big planet.

I got my first piercing for my 11 birthday (it was my belly button) my mom took me. and then from that I also had my tongue, eyebrow, tragus, lip, and nose done all by the time I was 17 .I have now taken them all out except for my belly button I had went to get a tattoo when I was 15 but the tattoo guy I wanted wasn't there that day so I got a piercing instead now I am very glad that I didn't get that tattoo that day however I did get my first tattoo when I was 16 and I'm now 20 and have 4 (they all have meanings). But I would recommend to wait and just go for a piercing because you can always take it out you have to live with a tattoo for the rest of your life.

let it go untill you get older with the tattoo becouse your still growing and its not a good time for you to be getting a tattoo becouse it will not look the same in a few years when you have really grown out and your still young and dont need a tattoo at this moment plus you will get somthing right now that you may not want when you reach 20 and i dont think any tattoo shop will tattoo you anyway since your under 18.. The nose piercing would be fine if your mom would let you get it done so start with that first for right now and dont worry about the tattoo untill you hit 18 then its your right to get what ever you want done..

Wait till your 18. You'll be old enough to get what you want and you'll be mature enough to take care of the responsibility.
Also, you may change your mind and be stuck with permanent reminders of your mistakes. I make it a general rule to want my piercing for at least six months straight before getting it done. For tattoos, I was at least a year with the same design in the same place. If I change anything about the tattoo (design or location), I start the year over.
If I'm really undecided about something, I'll get something done temporarily to see if I'd enjoy it for a month. I really wanted a big arm piece so I laminated the art and taped it to my arm to wear around. I got tired of it after a few weeks and decided against the tat. It is an easy test to see how you handle people staring at you/being rude/your own tastes over time.

You shouldn't need a nose ring at 13. I would especially say no to getting a tattoo at 13. Tattoo's are permanent and what you like now has a very high chance of not being what you are going to like as you get older. Do you really want to risk permanently branding yourself with an image you may hate by the time you turn 16? You have years to think about those sorts of things so why don't you give yourself time to grow up first (I don't mean that in a sarcastic or condescending way)

Coming from a multi-pierced, tattooed & modified grandmother, a nostril piercing (not septum) at 13 is just fine!
But forget the tattoo until you're a LOT older. I got my first tattoo at 38. If I had done it when I first thought about it, I'd have a really lame @zz little butterfly now! Sooo glad I waited.
There are always henna tattoos!

i wouldn't let my 13 yr old have a Yahoo! account either. NO you shouldn't keep bugging her. im pretty sure even if she said yes that you would have a very hard time finding a tattoo artist who would actually put a tattoo on you. as to nose piercing , you are way to young to start filling your face up with holes . in 10 yrs nose piercings may be out of style and then you are just left with silly holes in your face.

Let it go.
If you still want a tattoo or piercing when you are 18, go for it.
If you are bound and determined to do something, go with the piercing. That way if you change your mind in 2 years you can let it close over. Harder to do anything if you change your mind in a couple of years when you get a tattoo.

Let it go until your old enough to go on your own and pay for it with your own money. Tattoos' and piercings are something to be done spur of the moment. You need to really think long and hard about it. Otherwise, you might end up regretting it. Especially if you get a tattoo.
