Me and my ex just broke up a strong and steady relationship last week. We were doing perfectly fine, its just that we thought that we should be single again so as to experience more of life as we are only 19teen. We broke up on mutual terms but i really miss him alot. I know that this is a normal process but im just afraid to move on. Please give me some help.

I went through the exact same thing. We were dating for 7 months when he wanted to "take a break." He said we were too serious for our age, I'm 19 and he's 20, and that he was scared of the commitment. I was depressed for weeks. I thought I would never be able to get over him. We had talks about if we would ever get back together and 2 months later, we did. We've been better ever since. Honestly, I think your boyfriend just needs time to figure out everything. He'll realize he can't find anyone else like you and if your relationship was going good like you say, it shouldn't be long. Remain good friends with him and see where it goes from there. At least it wasn't a bad breakup and you two can still talk.

Well besides the fact that this is something we all go through and it sucks we all seem to feel that with us it is unique. Never mind all my young crushes and loves, I have a 16 year old daughter and since about grade seven I am constantly mending and assuring her consecutive broken hearts.
She usually starts with this guy who is the "BEST" and she moons and cries, then when they do finaly "go out" in about a month she has had enough and cries about breaking his heart (except when it's her heart) she wonders if she will ever, ever find such a guy again. Then I remind her of Brad, and Tom, and Bill etc.

if you guys are planning on getting back together then just enjoy the time you have to yourself. like you said, you are young. just take the time to yourself, and try not to think about him. consider it a break. breaks are healthy and can either help or break up a relationship. you may realise you cant live with out each other or that you are just better off alone.

This is something that will take time, but you need to give yourselve to get over him before you start another relationship. You are a young lady, dont rush this.

Time will tell you just what you should do. In the meantime, keep yourself busy. It wont always hurt like this. If you and he are meant to be, things will work out. If not, it's best to find out now.
