You're really going to hate me for this but i swear it works in like 24 hours.
(it hurts really bad sorry)
First, pour a teaspoon of salt on a plate
Lick your finger and dip it in the salt
put the salt directly on the cut in your mouth AND DON'T LICK IT OFF.
Proceed to cuss and call me all the bad names in the book. You're eyes will water it will hurt but it works way faster than gargling w/ salt water.
good luck. (also dont pick at it w/ your tongue)

Yes that is a canker sore. They will go away over time on their own but there are some things aside from keeping your mouth clean (teeth brushing, antiseptic mouthwash etc.) that can relieve the pain and speed up healing
Colgate makes a great OTC product called Orabase soothe-n-seal. It is like an oral bandage. It stings a little at first but then it leaves a film which keeps the sore from getting irritated and aids in healing. An alternative to this would be a prescribed agent called Solcoseryl (deproteinized calf blood extract + polidocanol)
Alum powder will temporarily relieve the pain. It stings more than other oral remedies and the effects wear off fast. Alum can be difficult to find.

well if it hurts sooo much that you can't open your mouth maybe you should go see a dentist. If it's just a canker sore go to the drug store and get something. i get canker sores all the time so I'm kinda use to them cause they're hereditary in my family i went to the doctor and got a special mouth wash. In my purse i carry around a canker sore medication i forgot what it's called but it's in a small bottle and it comes with a applicator and it's brown it works well you should get that one. There's another one that i use that seals the sore with or rather protects it from germs and it allows you to eat or do whatever without it hurting som much. Don't so the salt thing cause it doesn't work and it hurts like a mother trust me just don't do it.
GOOD LUCK!

The white covering on the top is infection and can be treated by rinsing with Hydrogen Peroxide at least twice a day. It does not taste good but it will cure it quickly. I must advise you, do NOT swallow Hydrogen Peroxide and rinse very well. You can also use a weaker mixture such as what is in scope mouth wash. Or granny's warm salt water mixture, do NOT swallow ANY OF THESE either as it will probably make you sick to your stomach.

You probaly tore up your cheek a bit. Go to the druggist and get a mouthwas called Sterisol. It is an antiseptic and a pain killer.
