if you are referring to the USA,....good question.

i'm not sure of all the criteria involved so i'm gonna wing it with what i have.

aside from the modern facts and the materials that might be sought or not......well it seems that war is an implement that not only settles world disorders but gives the economy a well needed boost. weird? bizarre? to be sure.

these wars may not make sense to the average layman but i for one am so thankful that we are not considering another world war.

as to the leadership re: USA. i felt that the two superpowers that used to be were a form of balance in this world. when the iron curtain and the Berlin wall came down and we saw all the decay and desperate conditions ......well what did that leave?

luckily for us it was the super power that stood for freedom. but because there is only one super power left....there in lies the stigma. consider this scenario.

a cabaret has a doorman (we used to call them the bouncer). this persons duty is to keep order in the establishment and rectify any irregularities be they hostile or not. usually the person assigned to this duty is big and tough. now because of his size and strength and possibly the impaired state of certain patrons he serves as a challenge to the macho type egomaniacs. theoretically this is the position of the only apparent super power the USA.

and this is what the leadership of the USA is up against. the leadership is made up of human beings. that's plain enough. i always say that things look sooo good on paper...and then you add human beings.

your vote on election day may have had some bearing on the decisions made today. consider this....if you spoiled your vote or didn't vote at all ....then you have neither the right or the invitation to an opinion. nuf said

No, we will not be bankrupt unless China decides to call in all of their bonds they have bought from us. We will then have to default. Other than that, an economy of over 13 trillion dollars a year will not be bankrupt.

Yes, but if we could get rid of Teddy "Chappaquiddick" Kennedy, John "I scratched myself to a Purple Heart" Kerry and the others in their crowd, we might be able to do something about it.
