Just because we can build something does that mean we should build it? How do we know if something should be built or if it shouldnt? Where does it all stop thats basicaly what im asking? Is humanity ever gona take a break and stop and smell the rose or will we just keep building and building new things untill our heads explode?

I think in some parts of the world people already said the hell with it a long time ago. Look at the middle east. The "cradle of civilization" had a 10,000 year technological head start on europe. But theres still a lot of people living in mud huts in the middle east today. How do you build pyramids, develop star charts and mathematics, and then just stop? The roses must have been laced with PCP.

It really depends on the region your talking about here. For example, Boston is/was in a huge building boom, still is. However, there is a lot of tear down and rebuilding as opposed to build where there was not before. This type of building is actually beneficial because you are not destroying more land, simply replacing what was into livable housing or work area.

I think they should build it. I'll just use it till I'm no longer here. then someone else will tear it down and rebuild it.
