for starters you need to make sure taht you arae not on any meds that would cause you to gain weight. 2 make your schedule to exercise , may it be 1 hr walk everyday. 3- when you eat do not eat big meals. for breakfast have something light, for lunch have a salad. for dinner have small portions. If you are going to snack, pick here and there. do not go and eat half a bag of chips fro snack.the faster way to lose is to pick at food through out the day. When you eat to much at one time it is harder for your body to burn off all the food you metabolism slows down , because its trying to process all that food.. where as if you pick here and there it would speed up your metetabolism and quicker to burn off.I Did this diet and within 3 months I lost 40 Lbs. I would not recomend this if you have health issues such as diabetic, high blood pressure, heart problems.

Dear Julius,
By reading your question, I really do not understand as to exactly what work you do. I presume that it is a desk job & I shall give you this advice. Please follow the same to keep yourself fit.
1. As you are not physically strained, don't eat too much, during work. Just eat moderately.
2. If your work place is within 10 kms. from your house, then you should prefer to walk atleast one way to your work place. Or use a cycle to your work place. This is a nice way of keeping yourself fit.
3. Always avoid the lift & take the staircase. This will give you a very great exercise.
4. Avoid too many coffee & tea breaks. Drink as much water as possible. Never smoke or even be a passive smoker.
5. When you have the fear of no exercise, then eat little & substitute it with fruits.
Apart from work, I think you still are left with a lot of time. So, please make use ot that extra time to exercise. Even Anil Ambani does his workouts every day. So, I think you can just do it, unless you are physically challenged.

What kind of work do you do? If it's a desk job then just find a way to stand up every few minutes and do some push ups against your desk... will get your heart pumping and beef you up too

Park at the end of the parking lot. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Don't go out to lunch on lunch breaks. Pack a light lunch or if you do go out to lunch pack a healthy snack.
