Almost everyone I talk to about cats say as soon as I bring up the subject:
"Ewww I hate cats!!"
But they never seem to have a better answer than
"They're just gross"
I think this is silly, I can understand if you're allergic, but....
P.S I have 2 cats and I'm allergic but that doesnt stop me from lov'in them!!!\

I have six cats and am allergic to them too, but I still love them.
Most people I know that don't like them, don't like the whole litter box thing. Cleaning it every single time the cat uses it wouldn't be enough for them. They would want to dump all the litter and bleach the box or buy a new one every single time the cat uses it.
The other complaint I have heard is the hair. It gets on everything.

I love cats its some of the owners I don't like who don't lock the cats up at night & allow the cats to kill wild life
Its not the cats fault they only do whats natural to them
cats are a very clean animal so who can say they are gross

These people don't have cats obviously. I had three (all now sadly died0 and loved them immensely, but I did notice that many of my friends did not care for them perhaps it was because I had three. However, when they got to know them, especially the two more loving ones their attitude changed.
Cats carry a lot of negative historical baggage with them, for example being associated with witchcraft or bad luck. But of course the ancient Egyptians revered cats as almost god-like.
Go to it CATS.

It's easier to use a blanket statement than to go into details. It also avoids the inevitable questioning that follows. People who have strong feelings one way or the other usually have good reasons for it, but if you are one of those people with a contradictory opinion there is almost no point in trying to argue your perspective because it's different and just as strongly held.

Cats have an attitude. Dogs think of their human family as masters; cats thinks of their human family as staff. Some people can't deal with the 'tude. Personally, I love my cats. We just spent over $200 at the vets to keep a kitten w/ a 5-10% chance of survival alive. We love the "little bugger".

I like some cats, but a lot of cats have attitude, and a lot of cat owners think it's great. I don't like that. So, while I find many cats cute and fun, an ego will instantly kill my liking of a cat.

i don't hate cats! i love um to pieces!!. when i was a lil' girl i was allergic and i could never have one. but once i got old enough i got 2. but there have been a couple of my family members that have come over and been like ewe to my cat, i get all fired up right away & tell them you wouldn't want me going to your house and saying eww when i see your kids.

I DO NOT HATE CATS! i have two cats, one of them is on the mean side, but the other is SUPER SWEET & CUTE alot of people i know aren't fond of cats and i have no idea why

i love cats...almost as much as i love horses! lol. i think ppl hate cats because they're scared of their claws or something. or they had bad experiances with cats, like they pulled the cat's tail and then the cat scratches them and they get mad a the cat....you get the idea.
