OK, here's the real skinny. At the beginning of Vietnam conflict,
they used the 3.5 inch rocket launcher. This was very similar to
the 2.5 inch rocket launcher of WW 2.. Buy the way do not call
it a bazooka. The LAW and the AT-4 came later in the conflict.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a nice day.
Thank you very much, while you're up!!

Check out the M-67 recoiless rifle and the M-72 LAW. The recoiless rifle is akin to WWII's bazooka and that type of weapon was still being used by the Engineers into the late 1980's (if not later).

They primarily used the LAW missile system.A shoulder fired rocket that could penetrate almost aything the vietnamese could throw.
A easy system to use, just point push down on trigger and throw away the launcher.the system weighed about 12 pounds.
Yoou could look in many war journals.also yahoo and google will get u where u need to go.

I think they used the LAW (Light Armor Weapon) and the Dragon during Vietnam. They were the precursor to the current AT-4 and Javelin, respectively. Look those up on Yahoo or Google or something.
