You may snore, and you may grind. Don't accept it though, it's not something you want to keep up. This is a stress thing, and it's subconscious. Try a few things to put yourself in a more blissful state of mind, and both will go. You may not think you are suffering, but when you do the things you do, your body and mind are telling you to go way easier than you do.
Use the holidays to wind down, get rid of stressors (debts, old ballast, driving, niggles of all sorts), and you'll be amazed, and you might just stop snoring and grinding.

Why is this not possible? Grinding your teeth with your mouth closed does not effect breathing through your nose. It's a different kind of snoring, but it's still snoring.
Or, as Ken and the Navy Wife say, you are just doing them at different times.

Ask your partner if you continue to breathe while you snore, or do you stop sometimes? You may have sleep apnea (especially if you are overweight), and you should get help from a doctor. There are devices you can use to help with the snoring and with the grinding, too.

I had snored for most of my life. I snored so loudly, i had woke myself up. My husband would go into another room to sleep sometimes, I had a sleep study done and found out I stopped breathing over 150 times in one night. I have sleep Apnea and use a CPAP mask.when I sleep now. My husband woke me up the first night I used it because he thought I was dead. He had never heard me sleep so quietly before and we have been married 26 years. The first night he kept checking to make sure I was breathing. :) I never knew I was getting such an awfull nights sleep until i started wearing my CPAP. I feel so much more rested in the mornings, I always thought i was getting a normals night sleep before, but I was not,

HAVE YOUR DENTIST FABRICATE AN N.T.I. APPLIANCE. THIS WILL MAKE GRINDING IMPOSSIBLE AND MAY ALSO FIX THE SNORING.
A NIGHT GUARD WILL NOT STOP GRINDING JUST SLOW DOWN THE DAMAGE AND IT WILL DO NOTHING FOR THE SNORING.
THE 2 THINGS WERE PROBABLY DONE AT SEPARATE TIMES.

No you didn't grind and snore at the same time, you just did both while you are sleeping. Believe me girl,I'm telling the truth because my maid is just like you. Probaly your friend just hears you snore but didn't pick up the sound of your teeth grinding.

My husband does both as well! I'd talk to your dentist about getting a night guard retainer or something. Good luck!
