My nephews are 9 and 7 and my niece is 4.

I'm planning on getting them the inexpensive Disney digital cameras... the 40 picture ones are only $19.95 - higher capacity ones cost $49.95 or $89.95...

They hook up to a computer to download images... my sister was psyched by the idea - so I figure its got to be a good one...

Books. Any kind of books that they will enjoy reading or having read to them. There are thousands of electronics and toys out there that could keep them busy for hours but books can do that too...
I'm a teacher and I see lots of kids who would be better readers and perform better in school if their parents would take the time to read with them. I recommend getting them each at LEAST one book.
