it is illegal for a convicted felon to possess a firearm but i'm not sure if that applies to a bow

The law prohibits them from possession firearms, but I don't know about a bow. Check with your local authorities.

You don't need to go through a Brady waiting period for a bow, so what's to stop someone from going into a sporting store, picking one up, walking to the register, and leaving with it?

The convicted felon should ask his parole officer. In my personal opinion, they should not be allowed.

im not sure but in OK im pretty sure its legal to own guns just not hand guns, i think a bow would be legal, for the fact that it would be hard to conceal
