Jousting so what your saying is your happy that Marines and Soldiers are protecting your xxx now so you dont have to do it. But now that my watch is over I'm not good enough to live in your world. Man alot of people have really fogotten about 911. So many Bush Bashers but the truth is that the Military members love Bush and Rummy and we believe that what we were doing over there was a good cause and that was to keep you safe so you can sleep at night and get up in time for work and now you don't want to give me a job?

It is not that marines are dumb or war torn, and many employers would love to hire former marines but in some cases tha marine has going through a particularly authoritative management style (which is needed in the case of war) that does not always easily tralate back to the civilian world

Its not so much that as post world war two the government was actually putting things that should have only been in the confidential files of soldiers. a list of codes stating the reason for their discharge rating from last surviving son to homosexuality. This practice is still in use today and unless a soldier specifically asks that the codes be removed they are there on the record for any future employer to see.

Most employers have no clue about what is involved with military service. I consider myself fortunate to work for a guy who did a tour during Vietnam.
As an Army guy I'd argue the common sense part.

I'm in the Navy, and most Marines I've met aren't very bright. However I have met several officers that are surprisingly educated and competent. I've always thought that the Navy has the smartest people in it though, granted I'm biased, but from the majority of people that I've met....the Navy, and especially the Naval officer corps is the most competent.
