It doesn't work to starve yourself to lose weight. The reason being is your body then stores the fat to keep you alive. You will become weak and may even become dehydrated and require an IV to replenish the fluids that you lost. If you are trying to lose weight diet and exercise is the answer for you. It may take time for you to see the difference but it will come. So, don't starve yourself as it does the exact opposite of what you are trying to do.

It seems to work initially, then it went horribly wrong.
To keep it short, my hair started falling out, my finger nails cracked open, my teeth got loose, and everyone told me I smelled "odd."
That was a long time ago, and I would never recommend attempting to lose weight by starving.
A good thing to do is to snack on celery. Celery is mostly water, crunches like crazy, is fairly inexpensive, and makes you feel a little full fairly quickly. I snack on celery before I go to social functions so I won't feel tempted to eat fattening junk.
Best of everything!

Yes, and you can lose weight but it comes right back. Take it from someone who has battled weight my intire life. I cant do diets either. I actually eat more! lol. The only way I can lose any weight at all is to walk. Yup, make yourself take a 20 minute walk everday and dont eat past 6pm. Cut out sodas and youll shed it like hot butter! Good luck!

Lousy idea. Your body goes into starvation mode and shuts down so you burn fewer calories. Your body raids your muscle first, not fat, so your body changes its shape and becomes fatter-looking. You lose some water, but you gain it back as soon as you drink something. You can also permanently change your metabolism, so you have a harder time losing weight.
Look at pictures of people who are starving in Africa -- their bellies stick far out. Is that the look you want?

You would loose weight temporally. After you started eating again your bodies reaction would be to store more fat in preparation for the next "famine".
This is a very unhealthy and dangerous thing to attempt. If you are seriously considering this please seek help - you may have an eating disorder.

there are days I didn't eat (mainly cause of money problems), but as far as starving, thats impossible to do without endangering your health. I suggest not trying it, and instead, either watch what you eat, exercise, or get on a program.

they say that's not good, but there are colon cleansing 'diets'(aka Master Cleanse) that is supposed to be good for losing a small amount of weight fast-the bad news is the weight doesn't usually stay off...
