why is it she will pass on a good man and go after a scumbag totally convinced that " he will change because he loves me " ? love them for who they are but forget understanding them been trying for years and had given up when I met one that convinced me it was OK to try again and now can't seem to make up her mind !

You mean a lady who likes you thinks she can make you fall for her?
Maybe that's just wishful thinking or she's too confident or delusional for her own good?
I don't know. Chicks see signs that sometimes aren't there at all, and they get caught up in their own fantasies. Maybe this "certain male" is helping her fantasies by flirting a lot? Who knows. Honestly i'd need much more info to give you any relevant advice.
