I wanted a honest person's opinion about my looks. Because this guy I know plays hot and cold with me and it really hurts me. It makes me feel ugly!!! I asked her if there's something wrong with me. She looked at me with a surprised look and said no!!! I said well what do you really think of me. Because sometimes I feel like people look at me oddly. She said there probably just thinking your pretty. But then she did say that sometimes I look better then other times. Like when I wear more makeup and do my hair differently she said she thinks I'm a knockout. She said I'm not saying you look bad ever just when I wear brighter colors and stuff I look really good. The thing is I'm getting older and it's hard to look the same all the time. I'm tired sometimes and this effects your looks, no matter how much makeup you wear. Do you think the answer she gave me was something I should feel ok about? I was in her weddin & she told me a lady said I was the prettiest bridesmaid ever.

I mean I guess she said she thought I the prettiest bridesmaid she had seen. The thing is I had my hair done up really fancy and my makeup done. And had a pretty dress on. I can't always look like this. I guess I'm just not naturally pretty.

She said you were pretty, what more do you want? She basically said you looked good all the time and sometimes even looked better. No one looks GREAT all the time. It is not possible. So, get over it. It was a complement. Be thankful that she told you exactly what makes you look super-amazing and use that look when you need to.

And the question here is what to be exact?? You are feeling down because you are getting older?? Or don't look 16? Or Not married yet?? I think you need to take up some hobbies and get out and about and start feeling alive and stop worrying about what others think about you--we all look better at times than others--I run a ranch and during the day I look the part I wear bib overalls and muck boots my hair always in a braid and usually never any makeup--but do I feel ugly?? No just being myself--Now when I go out I let my hair down and put on some make up and dress the part--and feel good--not that I don't feel good during the day just not the same---and if I need to run to town for supplies do you think I run in to change?? No but I have confidence and that shines thru the outer wear---people are still people and they will like you for who you are not how you look---
Chin up ---and smile

Hey dont worry...your friend has been really genuine in her comments. And you seem to be a pretty girl from what you have said in your details.First of all you need to face the fact that you do look nice afterall. You dont look bad. Secondly, looks are not everything. Dont care a damn about a guy who's with you for the looks. Go for the heart dear. Looks may not stil be there when your old but the heart will always stay the same and thats what matters most in relationships. Now cheer up and do something nice for your honest friend!!

i think the problem here is not really about your friend.. its yourself.. you dont have that confident, i think you should learn how to have one. although i dont know how you look but i can say that you are pretty and should not be bothered by anything.. all you need to do is feel comfortable with what you are.. dont always ask other's opinion about your physical appearance, cos if you always do that you will end up feeling down and hated yourself... and mind you, the more confident and comfortable of who and what you are, the more guys will notice you.. its the attitude that attracts alot of guys.. so gurl, be yourself and be simple as much as possible..

Getting older does not equal getting unattractive.
No one looks great 100% of the time, so don't worry about it.
