Yes they should withdraw. The US has lost it a long time back. It is taking more time than it is after the surrender of Iraqi military. This war was wrong everybody knows it. War should be fought with minimum civilian casualties. It is very difficult to defend this war and convince the the world that the US is correct. Even Tony Blair admits it. The question is how to save face and withdraw. It is soon becoming a Shia Sunni fight. Bush did not do proper home work. US inteligence failed miserably as the idea behind this war was WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION which have not been found. How to withdraw ? Change in US government might have an opportunity. Iran must be helping this war fire alive & why not. Its a Helpless situation soldiers are facing a guerilla warfare, it is a different thing to fight men in uniform. this war is only spreading more hatred and only helping Osama types to recruit more voluteers Again, i would say withraw with grace and help the innocent civilians. This is a war in Iraq and not With Iraq or Iraqis. The Iraqis come from a great civilisation and do not deserve this.

More troops will obviously be sent over now around the baghdad area in an effort to stabilize the center of government. Hopefully, the new Secretary of Defense will change direction in Iraq's strategy. More feet on the ground, more money on the ground....it's not what most US citizens want (myself included), but it's the only way to ensure Iraq has any sort of future. We'll still be in Iraq for years and years to come.

The United States and our allies won WW2. That was the last war we were declared a winner. Since that time we have stuck our nose all over the world. We have consistently had our *** kicked. Also I will add, if WW2 had been conducted as the Iraq War we would be speaking German, if we were speaking anything.. After four years, it is now being realized that we are not winning. Wow, isn't that sharp? Send more troops? What for unless we are willing to kill everyone who walks. That won't happen. So why are we there?

Absolutely not. We should get our men and women out of Iraq immediately. One more life should not be sacrificed for this stupidity. I was shocked to hear that our president is considering sending more of our courageous young men and women to Iraq. Here is an idea that will stop this insanity immediately. The president will announce the names and home towns of these soldiers he plans to send to Iraq instead of calling them troops. During the Vietnam War our local news stations would list the names and home towns of our soldiers who died that day. That got everyone's attention. We the American people said enough was enough. We the American people are going to tell the president enough is enough.

Absolutely we should have a slow withdrawal. They don't want us in Iraq and killing will continue. Let them fight their own battles. The USA can't police the world.
