Mavid Prevous or a company named SoftKey Learning has a old cd out with a typing program onit called Typing Teacher, should run under windows xp work as 95 or later.

The online typing tutor I use is www.learn2type.com

Once you click that, click "take our typing test"

You type the paragraph, and then it times it (how long it actually took you to type that paragraph) and tells you how many words per minute you did. If it could be better, it asks for you to sign up for an account, and it will give you typing techniques that you will have to do. I think you will improve eventually! It shows you the correct way to type and everything.

You can buy the DVD Marvis Beacon teaches typing and it will teach you how to type in no time. It is great for beginner's too. Great to use on your computer. Anyone from ages 8 and up can use it. You will become a pro and type fast in no time.

pick up any text messaging software (i.e. AIM, Yahoo IM, MSN, IRC, etc.) and just keep sending messages on it. You'll be pulling 50-60 wpm no problem within a month.

I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking as I dictate, it types. This puppy can type 140 words a minute.
