I broke up with my friend of 2 years and boyfriend of 3 months because of my family situation. I still care for him but he never asked why I broke up with him he just said ok and a few other things. Because he didnt question it does that mean he didnt really care about me and maybe wanted it to be over?...

I already broke up with him once because of my family and i told him that was the reason. Then I asked to come back and to work it out but it was too hard.

Maybe he thinks you're a drama queen and he's better off without the on again-off again affair.
I don't blame him.
I wouldn't play that game either.
Do you think he's a yo yo?
Get away from the family drama and live your own life.

Question is did you really care about him or were you just looking for an excuse to dump him??
Perhaps after 2 years of friendship he thought that you would trust in him to be a part of your life whatever the dramas of it, he was your friend for years so there was no real secret about whatever was going on in your family. Perhaps he was just fed up with the drama and was just wanting to end things in a good way so there was a chance your friendship might survive, or perhaps he was really cut and in a matter of pride acted really cool with it, you don't know what he did when he went home or what he is still doing, don't assume anything about people girlie :)

It could be a number of things....
- he could be a nonconfrontational person that didn't want to start a fight
- he could have been shocked and confused and unable to generate an appropriate question
- he maybe doesn't care
- he maybe realizes that things are going on with your family and decided that you needed space

Another possibility is that he cares/cared for you so much that he decided that it would be polite to submit to the break-up, and not protest. In that situation, that might have been the only honourable and understanding thing for an affectionate man to do.

Depends...how did he say it? Did he sound kind of hurt...or what?
Cause when i'm talking to my bf and i get upset or whatever.. I don't say much and end up hanging up or logging off, depends on comp. or phone. I really don't think just because he didn't say much doesn't mean he didn't care. I don't know the guy, so i couldn't give you a sure answer.

Well, he might not have felt as strongly about you as you might have thought. But, on the same hand you had only been dating him for 3mo, maybe he just figured that it wasn't working out - better to end it sooner rather than later.

Sometimes hurt prevents us from being able to respond at something that came totally unexpected.
Sometimes the dissappointment can be just as overwhelming.
You seem to be dissappointed yourself!
