If you are familiar with her shows on the Travel Channel, Great Hotels, Passport to Europe, ect. i want to travel and be a valued opinion in something like hotels, or be a traveler and get rewarded for it. Is it maybe journalism, or is there a program i can get into for a start?

I would suggest majoring in broadcast journalism, if you want to be on TV. If you want to just travel the world and get paid for it, I think that's a hard deal to land. Samantha was working on Broadway when she was "discovered" for her role on TV.
Other than that, International Relations, Hospitality Management, etc can land you a great job in the travel field, but not necessarily allow you to travel like you are wanting to.
