One of these should get rid of coolpics. They are both free.

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

Did you're making a bootable test disk? Norton is relatively a good software that could thwarte maximum viruses. A trojan nonetheless can end any AV software. initiate the laptop in risk-free mode (hit F5 at the same time as booting) then run an entire test after updating the virus development document. If that doesn't paintings, boot to an AV disk and run an entire test. it is your in basic terms wish different than formating. Peacomm is amazingly nasty!

I tried AVG before and it found trojan virus's but would not delete them, quarantine them, or do anything with them for that matter, so I uninstalled AVG and installed Symantec Anti-Virus and it detected all the trojan virus's and I haven't had a problem since, i'd suggest getting a different virus program even to see if it will help out any, plus you can get windows defender for free and it works well, I have had no complaints about using symantec anti-virus or windows defender products, but I think you might have to buy Symantec unless you can find a good source (somebody you know) that has a copy of it and is willing to install it for you.

Sounds like a job for a pro! But you can go to www.trendmicro.com and run their virus scanner. It takes awhile, but this will probably clear out any trojans or spyware you have. Depending on your hard drive size it could take about 30 minutes to 2 or more hours, but its worth it.
You can also go to www.symantec.com and run the Norton anti-virus from there.
Then go to www.pctools.com and try downloading SPywareDoctor. It's a great program that runs in the background and won't allow any of those Trojans to get on to your system. The software costs about $20.00, but it's a small price to pay for security.
After all the scans are done, reboot your pc and try it.

Best solution would be to install Norton antivirus 2006 edition with spyware protection, internet worm blocking & internet worm protection. to get it download any p2p program such as ARES or go for a p2p torrent client such as UTORRENT & download it. make sure u follow all the instructions in the README file b4 running the program file downloaded from the p2p client.

Before that u can go to add/remove icon in the control panel & delete innocous looking programs which are responsible for changing home pages, excessive popups, etc. The programs may have innocent names such as security update, virusbusters, etc. Doing this wud remove these irritating programs & installing Norton Antivirus should do the rest. I have had similar problems on my system.

Go ahead & Enjoy!

Vinoth K - You are reported to Yahoo admin for abuse. Just STOP this nonsense. People here at Y!A are not stupid. They have seen it all. Try something else new.

Now to the Q - Trojans/Hijack/Phishing/Keylogging - Yes, they are a pain in the neck.

Get AV from McAfee, or Norton. Get that done.
Or, if you like free stuff, go to microsoft website and download onecare. Get it to work. There are a lot of trojan fighter software = go to Download.com and look for some free stuff there. Good luck.

After that, change all your passwords. Protect all your private correspondence, information, financials etc....

download spybot search and destroy and adaware se, they are both free, you should switch off system restore because it is maybe hiding in there, then start in safe mode and run all the scans twice, after that boot up normally and turn on system restore again and all should be well. for safe mode restart your pc and start tapping F8 repeatedly as soon as powered on and before windows starts then select boot in safe mode.

better get some profesional help ,Troyans go very deep in to the Hikey class roots .you may have to reformat your disk to be sure that they are gone and reinstall windows ,but save your files (my documents)on an other computor ,than return them when your machine is clean.
