It sounds like you are confused and it sounds like he is confused.

Instead of playing "telephone," you need to go directly to the source -- go directly to him and ask him what's going on and what your status is. That's the only way you'll both know for sure.

Maybe your friend told you that to make you feel better. First of all you never send any one to ask a guy out for you that you like it makes you look bad , and even you and him go out that does not mean yall are dating only the guy can answer that question for you, that way you can keep confusion down.

Just because you go out on a date doesn't mean you are "officially" dating. That's up to you & the guy to decide.
i've gone on dates with a lot of guys... its all about getting to know the other person & finding out if you really want to be in a relationship with them.

Talk to him yourself! Less confusion and then he will know you like him instead of wondering if your friends were lying to him. He might be confused too!

He said she said then she was like omg.
Tell them to stfu and then ignore the fact they're all lying immature kids that need to grow up. Take matters into your own hands and start to threaten.

This is prime example why things as personal as this should be done by the person themselves.

Why have someone else ask them out, when you are the ones who would be physically going out?
You have to go face to face sometime!

Your friend could have just said he said yes when he said no not to disappoint you so you should be mad at her for not telling you the truth and embaressing you

cut through the confusion --- ignore your friends --- and be daring --- talk to the gut yourself and see what happens
