I love love love hair extensions!
Hair extensions can be attached to your head in many different ways, including gluing, tubing, sewing, and clipping on. Different methods have different advantages. For the most natural looking hair extensions, I'd go with fusion. Fusion hair extensions can last up to three to six months depending on how well they are put in and how well you care for them. With fusion hair extensions, the extensions should be indistinguishable from your natural hair. If properly applied, the attachment site should be virtually invisible.
You can brush, wash and style them like normal, just use care.

I have long hair and got micro braids with weave. The braided part I couldnt brush but the loose ends I could.
Although regular extensions depend on the texture. Straight you have to bush. Curly you dont have bush but if you want you can use a big paddle brush or wide tooth comb.
As far as showning it depends on what kind you can afford fusion is what most famous people get and cost and arm&leg for average joe but tracks if you wear them right or dont get them everywhere dont always show. There ae also more than those 2 types check with a stylist.

no I have not. I would think you could brush your hair . Other wise it would ball up in knots and snarles. Not a good look.
