When I hear women use these terms it's always in a negative context. Do all women feel a man being proud of the 'Hot Chick' on his arm is a bad thing ,Or just the ugly ones?

Arm Candy and Trophy Wife do not just mean that a guy happens to have a cute girl on his arm. Arm Candy means that it's someone whose purpose is to look good on his arm. Trophy wife was used after sports players would date then marry the girls in the swimsuits giving them the trophy. Both cases refer to girls whose only job is to look good, and serve no other value in the relationship. Some people would consider this negative, if you don't- and prefer your women dumb, money grubbing, but "pretty" then you should not take offense to these terms. If you don't, then you should see if the person fits the description- if not, then maybe the label was inappropriately used and you/she has nothing to worry about.

well usually it's the more unattractive women who seem to complain about this, it's true.
But it's not right if the only reason the man has the "hot chick" on his arm is that she is pretty. That would make him pretty shallow. Not to mention callous because even pretty girls want to be liked for just being themselves.

I couldn't care less if a guy uses his money and status to keep a woman who would normally be too hot for him. I prefer to date men with whom I am compatible with on many levels and not just looks. I've dated men who were "hot" and it didn't take too long to figure out that looks don't get you too far in a real relationship. So, if a guy is happy to traipse around with a gorgeous woman on his arm, let him enjoy it! I prefer to date my equal in many areas, good looks are an added bonus.

I recently visited my mother at work, she paraded me around as if she won an Emmy. No, to be beautiful, gorgeous, or in your words a trophy is a definite pleasure. Being stunning is underated, any woman who is, should be damn proud!!!

Be proud all you want. I would only say that stuff if it was a ugly guy with a hot girl, or a old guy with a hot girl... Or if the girl was just dumb.

well, it is nice to be treated as the 'Hot Chick' but not if you're going around with them showing them off, not actually doing anything, and you're only dating them to do just that. and you can be proud, just dont date a girl ONLY for her looks. thats not what dating is about.

there is nothing wrong for a man to be proud of his trophy wife however if thats all that they have in common then the marriage is doomed.

I'm pretty, cute, whatever (so they say lol) and my boyfriend loves for us to go out. I have um... bigger breasts, and when we first started dating he hated guys staring, even without clevage showing. Two months later, he is like, yeh, those are mine LOL If a man's sole purpose for dating a chic is her looks, then he's a dog. Any girl should see through that and RUN!!!
