When your girlfriend goes out of town and you agree that she will call you when she gets back after a couple day trip, do you call her if she doesnt call you to say she's back. She got back on a saturday and I waited until monday to call her. I just wanted her to think enough to call. We have been going togehter for two years. She doesnt remember the agreement (it was the night before she left) and said I could have called her. I say its a courtesy to call and say you're back - as agreed. Maybe she just doesn't like having to call. I think its nice to call when you get to your destination and/or at least nice to call when you get back. Now we have some issues and she won't talk about it and won't return my calls for 2 days. I really gets to me when the one you love ignores your calls. Do I continue to call, leave it be, or need to get over her? Or is calling something the man should always do? We are in our 40's.

If she didn't call you back it is not likely a lapse in memory; it was most likely because she didn't want to. Nobody likes feeling like they need to "check in with the warden"...give her some space and if she wants to call you, she will, if she doesn't, it is a loud and clear signal to move on.

Seems like all your issues concerns with calls. Its ok. I know its the same for me except its chatting and so on. basically, Im the one always pursuing the contact. Well atleast most of the time. YOu need to back off. for real. I still have the same problem. Just dotn contact her and let her call you. If you over do it, you end up hurting the relationship more. And dont try to fix it, just shrug it off and control yourself. Then let her know how you feel when its ready. Be strong. Youre the man, you need to show that shes pursuing you and not the other way around. Its good you communicate, just dont do it too much. Ler her do some of the talking too.

Is this something she does regularly?
I know that my boyfriend is forgetful, so I know to try not to get upset when he forgets to call. (Though he is good at calling me when he gets back into town.) Usually when I expect a call from him, I give it a little bit of time and then call him to see what's going on. In this case however, I would have tried calling the day she came back if I had not heard from her.

Of course that's not something the man is supposed to do. It's 50/50. I would definitely call my boyfriend when i get somewhere and when I get back. You need to tell her that you feel that way.

well, just call if you want to talk. that is okay, men are suppose to open the door anyway. so just do one more step if you love her. If not, time to leave
