I'm sorry you have to go through this. Most likely what the two of you ate was mold. Depending on how much was on the bread the affects can range from a mild tummy ache to diarrhea. If there was a lot of mold on the bread keep calm and observe how you feel and how your daughter feels if the diarrhea comes and a fever comes along with it then it's time to go to urgent care and KEEP ALL THE PAPERWORK after you feel better contact an attorney you should be able to get Mick D's to pony up for the medical expenses, anything over that is your decision. Good Luck.

OK found this.......... Eating moldy bread certainly isn't recommended. If you're otherwise healthy, however, it's not likely to make you sick. Rarely, certain molds may produce mycotoxins that can cause illness. These mycotoxins are poisonous substances found mainly in grains and nuts. Moldy bread may contain bacteria that could cause a food-borne illness as well. There's no need to call your doctor about the moldy bread unless you develop symptoms of illness. Be on the lookout for: * nausea * vomiting * diarrhea * abdominal pain or cramping * fever For mild symptoms, the doctor may recommend letting nature run its course. For severe symptoms, fluid therapy or an antibiotic may be needed.

There is a good chance that it was just the bread that was moldy - in which case it isn't going to kill you or anything. But, if your daughter get sick or has unusual symptoms you should take her to the doctor. You should also complain up a storm to that McDonalds - get a refund and maybe even some free food or something.

She'll be fine, it is just a bit of mold.

However, you need to go talk to a manager. They are probably unaware of this problem. It is likely the fault of the company that provides bread to the restaurant (worked there, the bread doesn't last more than a day or two), and the managers need to be made aware.

I wouldn't worry. It probably wasn't to the point of being toxic yet. I've eaten moldy bread and even cheese without realizing it and I was fine. It really won't hurt ya....but I would march right back to that McDonald's and demand to speak to the manager. You wonder how bread gets moldy in fast food places because they get so much business, how does it get a chance to get moldy ya know? I would want my money back plus free milkshakes and french fries for a year!

bread mold is not harmful, in fact that is what penicllin is made from. Still not something you want to eat though. I would be questioning the quality of the meat if they can't even watch the bread.

GROSS!!! I would be so mad, demand a refund plus free food!! That is digusting. I don't think it will hurt her too much, maybe some diarrhea, but anything that causes doctor visits and would make them pay for it!! You shouldn't have to inspect you food from a restaurant before eating it!
