K, you have to be a first time canine owner. Puppies do not have durations. A interval signals the tip of fertility for that cycle. A dog is in heat or in season. The discharge is one sign that she is now fertile. When the discharge ends and her swelling subsides then she will now not be fertile for this cycle. Striking her external and unattended can be just about guaranteeing that an intact male will to find his approach into the yard and impregnate her. Sure, there are sanitary pants for dogs and they’re bought at many pet provide outlets as good as online. If her discharge is inflicting a hindrance why no longer crate her or confine her to a room behind a baby gate?

You can by doggie diapers, but I use a pair of underwear (the size depends on the size of your dog). I make sure that it is on the dog fairly tight, and then put a sanitary napkin (like a Kotex Light days) in it. That is what I have had the best luck with.

You can buy doggie diapers at many local pet supply stores. You would then use normal sanitary napkins or urine guards in it.

But, if your dog is old enough to be in heat, she's old enough to get fixed. Get her fixed as soon as the vet says it's ok. If you don't know that dogs go into heat and that they don't 'get periods', then you shouldn't have an unaltered dog.

You can use the b**** panties (dog diapers) as others have suggested. The trick that I've used for years is to find a pair human panties that fit your dog (my medium sized dog with lots of hair wears a size 5 french cut). You might have to buy children's panties depending on the size of the dog. Cut a hole for the tail and use regular human panty liners. It's easy and keeps things clean around the house.

Technically, your dog is in season (estrus). They don't usually refer to them as periods in dogs!!

Yes, Foster and Smith and online company owned by veternarians. They sell a type of panties for dogs in heat. Just make sure to buy more than one so that you can wash them.

they sell diapers at petsmart. i just had to buy some this week for my dog. they work very well but are kinda expenisive. if you want to go a little cheaper buy regular pull ups for kids and cut a hole in the back for her tail. that works really good too. hope this helped.

Yes but they are panties that have padding, go to the pet store. This will help keep her from getting it on furniture and the carpet and your bed. Also prevent dogs from getting with her in case she gets out.

They make em. Is your dog gonna keep it on? Probably not! Your better off giving her a blanket of her own for the next week or so!
