I think it is getting to be time to put down my kitty cat. About what can I look at for proper costs? Thanks!

Cost is dependant upon vet's office and the state you are located in. Call any vet, they will be the ones to give you the most accurate amount.

Probably depends on the vet. I had a stray cat come up to my house and after feeding him he would return a few times a week eat and then leave. After this went on for about a year he came up one night and had been hit by a car. I rushed him to the vet and was told he had a broken hip and the only way to fix it would be having an expensive surgery. Being a singly mother or 2 girls and raising my brother I wasn't able to spend that kind of money. Therefore, I paid $15 to have him put to sleep. I didn't realize how attatched I was to this animal til that day! It shouldn't be much though. Try taking yours to the local humane society also. Around here they do a lot of things way cheaper than a vet would.

It depends on where you go, and what the clinic charges for. The clinic where i work it costs like $70-80. But i interned at a clinic where it costs about $30-40. (i live in Michigan) Call different clinics to check for prices, because everyone is different. I am very sorry to hear about your kitty, i know it is a very hard decision to make.

Approximately $40. but does vary from Vet to Vet-have not been charged at all recently for have been using the same pet for my exotics -bunniesand guinea pigs-also have a cat and a dog. Also if you've been using the same pet for multiple pets for a long time they will for the same amount you'd be charged going there for coming to your home to do it.Have several pets that are really scared of driving in the car and going to the vet-esp my pet bunnies(have 2) and would insist when its time that their last moments not be thosse of being scared but going to sleep in the comfort of their home. You do know that those animals that have emotion, memory, show empathy and so on also have souls(the opinion of just about every vet I've ever gone to) and continue on and are with us in eternity.Reading some of the after life experiences people met not just by humans they've loved and who had gone on ahead of them but also pets.Since such a large part of God is Love makaes sense He'd enjoy these special creatures who are all Love and want them with HIm. Although difficult to do but helping your lovd pet to pass over is the last loving thing you'll do for it here. God Bless

The local humane society will do it for $50. It was almost $200 at the vet's.

It can be more if you wish to have an individual cremation and have the ashes to keep.

Check with your local animal shelter. My son volunteers at ours. His cat is 16 years old now, her kidneys aren't as good as they were. We may be facing the same thing. But our shelter said they would do it for a small donation and let my son bring her home for a proper and loving burial.
