Seriously, it's a rather expensive gift to get just any girl (I'm assuming this is outside of a dating relationship?), so I would have to say that someone told him that was a good gift to give?

Personally, I think that perfume/cologne is rather personal, and you shouldn't buy some for someone unless you know for sure what they like and/or you're in a serious relationship.

Perfume is a pretty intimate gift. It would be suitable for a relative or someone you are dating or in a relationship with. Basically it would be for someone you spend time in "smelling distance" of.

Possibly he could have gotten you the perfume because it turns him on? I know my bf likes my perfume and buys it for me because he says it turns him on lol
