Here's some information from the toysfortots.org website:

Enter www.toysfortots.org into your browser.

Once the page loads, click on Request Toys.

Scroll to the bottom & select Search for a

Campaign site near you (It lists states). Choose California(you stated that you live in San Diego).

Scroll through the list & find the coordinator nearest to your home address.

Click on the coordinator's hyperlink. It should open your default email program, like Yahoo, MSN, etc. Send them an email to request toys for your children, include their ages & gender. There's also a phone number listed to call. I'd make a phone call as a follow up for your email request. If you know anyone with a fax machine, send the request by fax as well.

I realize this is triplicate asking for toys. You want to make sure that you get on their distribution list for whenever they give out the toys.

I don't know if there's any kind of financial or other requirements to do this.

Merry Christmas to you & hope this helps!

I am sure that San Diego has a Salvation Army. They collect toys, clothing and food, especially at this time of the year for needy families. Look them up in the local yellow pages and go see them. They are wonderful and will help.

There are plenty of non-profit organizations avaiable.
1.Toys for Tots a program sponsored through the Marines.
2. Salvation Army
3. Tree for children
4. Your Community Connection or known as YCC
5. Ask Toy's store if they can help you if you have proof of being low-income or any Wal-Mart store. They alway's give stuff to the community.

I feel bad for your situation. I hope things will get better for you. Indeed I still wish you a Merry Christmas.

collectively with your babies being so close in age. that is perplexing to do away with stuff because of the fact , the subsequent baby would be fiddling with it in some months. unfastened-cycle is a huge concern- i unquestionably only unfastened-cycled to big luggage of toys to make room for Christmas stuff. I additionally purchase tubs to save toys in and rotate the toys each couple months. it type of feels issues get performed with greater while they're new and if i save them for 2 months and convey them returned out that is like Christmas as quickly as greater. I shop maximum toys on cabinets, and toys containers, it type of feels in the event that they're put in toy boxes they only take a seat there the youngsters by no skill dig right down to work out what they have. tell your loved ones you have adequate toys ask them to purchase simpler issues including clothing, diapers, potty chair, video clips, etc. in case you're over ran with toys pass forward and freecyle a number of them. you could desire to truly make someones Christmas who's way less fortunate then you definately are.

I really really feel for you. I wish that I could help you. See when I drive around my neighbor hood, I see family throwing away toys that are in really good condition because it breaks my heart. How old are your children? I have a lot of toys that was going to sell on ebay, but if your kids need them please let me know how old they are, and if you need clothes I have them too. I have boys and girls stuff. Feel free to email me eckogirl814@yahoo.com

I'm really sorry you are in this situation, and I hate saying that I am not. But I was just telling my husband the other day, that I wish we had less money, and in a way I wish that I did have to struggle to get them toys, because it's so much more genuine, and you really appreciate what you have, and your children will too. Plus you get to use your imagination and you have a closer bonding experience with your children. Please let me know so I can see what I can do for you!

P.S. Even though you don't have lots of money for toys, I think the world of you for trying so hard. and that first sentence above in the second paragraph " I'm really sorry you are in this situation, and I hate saying that I am not." Sorta sounded wrong to me, I just meant, that I am not in your situation, but I am very sorry, but your kids are very luck to have a mom that cares as much as you.
