So. the typical teenage drama. I LOVE this guy. he is so funny, he makes me laugh all the time. and he is really romantic. this one time at our schools music concert, he started waltzing with me!!! omg, anyways (lol, lttle off topic) im in this huuuuuggge friggin dilema. u see, my friend likes him!! i KNO that i shouldnt go out with him, but my question is if he asks me out, should i tell him WHY i cant go out with him? what should i tell my friend? i dont want to spil her secret, but i dont want to hurt him by saying i cant go out with him and not give a reason. o yea, he is a junior, and im a freshman. do u think that is too much of an age gap?

That is a little bit of an age gap....but if he makes you happy, he makes you happy. It shouldn't matter. As for the friend situation, you should wait a while, and see what happens. Don't stress out so much because..what if he doesn't ask you out for a while and your friend finds someone new? Why don't you and your friend go to a party or something and try to get your friend the hook-up with someone else? Just try what you can until that time comes... because what you think you're going to do now isn't necessarily what's actually going to happen. Trust me.. i think out senarios all the time in my head what i'm going to do in social situations..and when i get in those situations, it doesn't come out anything like i thought it would. Just wait....look around at different guys..and see what happens. That's all I can say.

First somehow before he asks either of you out, you really should let your friend know that you like him also.

From there, if he asks you out you may risk losing your friend if she is very immature or she could just be OK with it...

When I was a sophomore I had a crush on this guy who liked me also, thing is he started dating another girl and told me he was dating her because he wanted someone his age (oh yeah, he was a senior) and he liked her also...so he and I stayed best friends and I actually became really good friends with his girlfriend too...even now both the guy and the girl are still tight friends with me...

Junior to freshman is not too big of an age gap.

Does your friend know that you like him? If not, I recommend starting there. Being open with your friend can help you both sort out your feelings and avoid any future hurt. She may have a hard time with it later, but I can assure you, it would be ten times worse if he did ask you out and she didn't know.
Good luck.

No offense, but he is going like who he wants to whether your friend likes him or not. How old is your friend? From personal experience, I would be careful...most older guys go after younger girls in college and high school because they think they will be easier to get into bed(they are, trust me).
