they would have to, because of womens rights, but thats also one of the reasons they will never reinstate the draft, unless its absolutely necessary, and in that case i think they would take mostly men and just enuff women to say they were drafting them, probably about 65 to 35

No. Women were never drafted before when we had the draft system. I think they will not leave kids homeless without their parents. So they would not draft men and women.

I don't think women will be drafted.....yet. We have lots of able-bodied men at the moment. Israel requires all it's young citizens to serve in it's military....even women. However, they have a far smaller population than ours and are surrounded by threatening neighbors.

They didn't draft women the last time there was a draft.
During a national emergency, there's no time for the nice social experiments.
In that event, we have to raise an army and turn them into killers as quickly as possible.
The best way to do that is leave females completely out of the picture.
"Been there, done that", 'cause I was a draftee in the Viet Nam War.

They won't because the structure of the military now is not compatible with the use of draftees. We'd have to stop a lot of our military operations in order to get the manpower together to organize and train an army that isn't even the kind of army we have now. I think there should be such an army in addition to, not instead of, the one we have now, but it would take at least ten or twenty years just to get ready for such a thing.

Yes... they will. This is the only country in the world that claims woman are equals to men... but they are asked to do less. This is liberal bullshit like college scholerships for minorities and homosexuals and obese students. I other countries woman fight along side men, no problem... I feel that no one should be forced into war... The only reason woman in past were not drafted is because they are 'inferior' and 'unable to kill'. If that was true then why do we have woman's sports.

why don't people realize the draft will not be re-instated?
there are too many in this country who wouldn't serve!
when i do go to Iraq Again,i do Not want some whiney *** person who didn't volunteer to be there covering my back1

No because we are the ones that have the babies. You don't want to rip out a whole generation. By sending both sex to war. That and we are still not allowed in combat situations.

probably not. they only want people with something between their legs to die. they need women to make babies for the next generation of soldiers
