**Three-in-One Cheese Ball**

This recipe makes 3 different flavors of cheese balls from one base mix! A cinch to do and a lot of variety!

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
4 cups (16 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese, room temperature
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons minced onions
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Coarsely cracked pepper
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
Minced fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Finely chopped pecan
Assorted cracker

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, cheddar cheese, milk, onion and Worcestershire sauce until fluffy. If a smoother spread is desired, process in a food processor until creamy. Divide into thirds (about 1 cup each).

Shape first portion into a ball; roll in cracked pepper.

Add the blue cheese to the second portion; mix well. Shape into a ball; roll in parsley.

Add garlic powder to the remaining portion; mix well. Shape into a ball; roll in nuts.

Cover and refrigerate. Let stand at room temperature 1 hour before serving time. Serve with crackers.

The easiest thing for me to bring and is always a hit is shrimp cocktail. You can thaw a frozen bag of medium to large shrimp pretty quickly and then use jarred cocktail sauce or make your own. If you make your own it is pretty easy mix together:

1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup finely grated horseradish
hot sauce to taste
fresh lemon juice to taste

If you use sauce already made, just add some fresh lemon juice and it will taste fresher. Spread the shrimp around the bowl of sauce and sprinkle some chopped fresh parsley or cilantro and lay a few lemon wedges and it looks like you spent hours slaving over it. Everyone always eats them up and it works for almost any party.

when the cake is cool poke it with a fork all over the top.
make some jello with about half the water.
lots and lots of little holes.
pour the jello on top of the cake.
cool in the fridge till the jello sets up.

Chips and Salsa is always a hit! Spinach dip in a bread bowl, or a pasta salad, you could use colored pasta curls to make it festive!

I love Nanaimo Bars. You can add red food dye to the icing in the middle to make them more festive. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Nanaimo-Bars-III/Detail.aspx
