Study the word "superficial" for about a month. Judge yourself in the type of person you are. Are you contributing to your invironment. If it is at all possible please talk to a psychologist about your obsession before it turns into something like an eating disorder. You also may want to stare in the mirror for a while -daily and remind yourself that you HAVE to be here in this world for something more important than how you look. Give blood, volunteer at an AIDS hospice center, go visit a Ronald McDonald house. And please for God's sake take up reading or something that will take you away from TV and Fashion. I'll be praying for you because something tells me you are worth it. Maybe one day you could be my lawyer.

You should never consider suicide for your looks. I am almost certain that you are not as bad as other people who are missing limbs, blind, scared from explosions or fires, or suffering from other diseases.

Noone should ever consider suicide over their appearance, or anything for that matter. You can look at the reasons to NOT kill yourself as follows:

1) Religion. It is against every religious practice to NOT kill yourself. The Bible, Koran, etc. all state that suicide will not get you into heaven.

2) Ethically and Morally. You would accomplish no good by killing yourself, especially over your appearance. The only time that killing yourself is brought into ethics is in mercy killings.

3) Think of your family and friends. How would your family feel about you killing yourself, ESPECIALLY over something so insignificant as your appearance. You may think that they wouldn't miss you now...but trust me, they would miss you and it will drastically change their life.

I think you should seek a couselor, as this streams from MORE than the way you look. Talk to your parents, school guidance counselor, someone about getting help. The last thing you should consider doing is kiling yourself as it is not only the cowardly way out, its the immature way out. Just think about SEEKING help then doing the easy thing and killin gyourself.

Appearance is only a tiny thing in life. What ultimately matters is your character and the way you treat everybody around you. Don't get carried away by your appearance. To some degree, all females care about how they look, but I've made friends with really pretty girls, only to find that they were pretty snotty people, and some of my friends are people who wouldn't pass for drop-dead gorgeous, but have a good sense of humor, are caring and kind, and know how to give encouragement and handle any situation. Every person has their own beauty inside. For some, it just takes a little more time to find.

Even if you aren't the prettiest girl around, people drawn to you will end up being your lifetime friends because they learned to look past your face and body. Popular, pampered people often end up being lost and alone as they grow older. Many celebs didn't start out as being the most popular students. Let that stuff shine out, and people will value you for what you are. I have moderate acne, but I have a lot of friends who like me for what I am. They didn't glance at me and give me up as a bad job. They look inside, not at my pimples.

Keep personal hygiene in mind, but ask your parents what you think. They will--believe me--give you an honest opinion, and you can take their word. Don't commit suicide. Mention therapy to your parents. therapists will work with you to adjust what you think about yourself. Do you read a lot of magazines aimed at your age group? Those pics of superskinny people can distort your vision of what's important in life. Get rid of them. No one needs a tanned, skinny body to have a worthwhile life.

Try to realize that appearances really aren't that important. I don't know if you are looking for a guy or not, but a good guy will like you for who you are, not because of how you look. Focus on the positive things about yourself. Your personality, intelligence, whatever it may be. But please don't kill yourself, it's not the answer. If you really are thinking about it, tell someone. Anyone that you know you can trust. Call a suicide hotline or email a place. It's not worth it to end it all.

The best way to get over this is to realize that guys don't care about appearance and neither do girls.
Men will date anything that breathes, as long as it has two legs and a hole in between.
Females will date anything that has an automobile, and the gonads to get on the telephone and ask (nicely) for a date.
P.S. Hope i don't sound like too much of a redneck.

Go out and help some people. Do some work at a hospital or cancer center. Stop watching TV, looking at Magazines. They're the reason you care so much about it in the first place.

Get some good friends too, that like you for who you are and what you're interested in.

I tend to get overly obsessed with my appearance when I'm not feeling good about myself. Try adopting a new hobby or finding something new that you are really good at. Get your mind off of it and focus on the stuff you like about yourself.

You need to find a way to get some self esteem. It sounds like you are depressed and you need to seek some help. A counselor will help you to understand why you feel this way and how to change it.

You should stop thinking about your appearance. That is what other people think of you when they see you. Who cares what other people think of you, as long as you like yourself. Thats what I say... Dont let other people get you down.....

THERE MUST BE SOMEONE THAT FINDS YOU ATTRACTIVE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PERSON THAT IS UGLY TO EVERYONE. IF YOU ARE THAT DEPRESSED HAVE A CONSULTATION WITH A PLASTIC SURGEON AND APPLY FOR A LOAN TO PAY FOR IT IF YOU DONT HAVE THE CASH. BUT REMEMBER EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL IN THEIR OWN WAY
