There's no solid evidence that taking any kind of supplement or eating any specific food will help hair growth. Eating healthy all around (lots of fruits and veggies etc) can't hurt but I really don't think there is much you can do.

Stimulating your scalp probably won't do much either... in the shower when you're washing your hair you can give yourself a little scalp massage with the tips of your fingers (no nails), but ultimately I think you just have to wait it out to get long hair.

Hello. To have nice hair eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Citrus fruits, berries, avocados, carrots, low fat milk, fish such as salmon.
Drink 3 liters of water per day and take omega 3 supplements Essential Fatty Acids.
Get plenty of rest and try not to shampoo your hair everyday.
As for the scalp, let your hair loose from ponytails if you wear them, and just gently massage your scalp. You dont need to add any oils. Just the touch of your fingertips to your scalp is enough to stimulate oils to produce.

Based on what I learned in advanced Anatomy & Physiology in college, consuming protein helps you have healthy hair. .......There is nothing you can eat to make your hair grow faster or anything. ..........According to my professor, any time your body is deficient on protein, your body will show it because your nails will have indention(s) and your hair will lose its luster and look like crap.

To stimulate your scalp, just get a good brush (one with soft tips and a cushy body) so you can gently brush your hair. The motion of the brush tines across your scalp will encourage short-term increased blood flow.

FYI: It's recommended to drink eight 6 oz cups per day, which is 1.42 liters.

Actually, gelatin is good for nails and hair. Knox is a household oldie. Or you can go get some pre-natal vitamins, which are great for your skin too. There is a vitamin specifically for hair I believe it is has Keratin in it. Ask the pharmacist I'm sure they've seen it.
