yes the USA has accomplished the first stage of the war. now all it needs to do is dig in and let the Iraqis kill each other until there is a few of them left then they will come out and take full control of the country and start shipping the oil and expand its bases and invade Iran. everybody knew even the US government that Iraq was gonna go into civil war if we invaded that's what the USA planned for. now you know why Saddam had to be very firm with his rule on the Iraqi people that was the only way he could control the Iraqi factions from civil war

Not quite, but soon. I think it's winding down and as the Iraqi people take responsibility to govern themselves and the Iraqi military gets trained to deal with the insurgents, then Yes, I believe it's mission accomplished. I don't believe for a minute that if we pulled out, that the Iraqi people would turn on the US. We'll leave that to France.

Well since Iraq was not a threat and according to the Republican Congress’ 9/11 and pre-war intelligence reports:
- there were NO terrorists in Iraq before Bush invaded.
- there was no connection between Iraq and OBL, AQ, or any terrorist organization before Bush invaded,
- there were no terrorist training camps in Iraq before Bush invade,
- Hussein did not hide terrorists, he tried to have them arrested so he could torture them, and of course
- there were no WMDs.
you have to conclude that the mission was accomplished before Bush invaded.
However, if his mission was to turn Iraq into a terrorist state torn apart by civil war, destabilize the entire Middle East region, and make the world a more dangerous place for all people, but especially Americans, then I guess the mission is pretty well accomplished.

No !!! Absolutely not!!! If we pull out now we give the terrorists two countries which to set up bases of oporations to plan anouther 9/11!!! DO NOT LET aTHIS HAPPEN!!! The terrorist will pos a threat in a number of months or years , not decades --- remember that afganistan was a shambles one decade ago. It was 15 years from the time the Soviets pulled out of Afganistan until 9/11 --- it can happen again --- do not be so foolish.

WTF are you talking about. The Iraq police are getting killed like mice out there. Bush just admited today that we are not wining the war and that we "need" more people in Iraq and wants to get 30k more soldiers and 30k marines. If we pulled out it would be an admition to defeat and the same threat that possed before would come back even stronger than before. it's not Iraq were at war against, it's MUCH MUCH more than that.

The mission was accomplished the first day the US soldiers set foot in Iraq, we had no business there in the first place.

If it were that easy. No our mission is nowhere near complete. But we must refocus our strategy. The Iraqis must be told that on this date its your ballgame, we will sit back and watch and help you improve, decieve us and we pull out and you can fend off Iran on your own.
