wat would u do if your meeting your dad for the first time in 11 years? I dont have anything to discuss. We're going to the mall 2 morrow. Wat would you talk about?

I did not meet my father until i was 12 years old. I still remember it like it was yesturday and i am now 23. When i met him i was angry, i asked the truth...why he wasn't in my life ect. It's very hard to rebuild a relationship. If you have no hard feelings, just talk about what you have been doing lately and how things are going for you. How are things going for him? What are his interests...you might share some. Good luck to you, and if you can rebuild this relationship try to...my father died a few years after i met him. I only seen him the one time and i wish it had been different. Good luck

It can be akward - but you should think of how lucky you are: many people never get the chance!
Use the time to get to know him - so have a meal together and chat...
I'm sure there are a lot of questions you can ask him - try and find out who he is, what he likes - why you're only meeting him now etc?
Perhaps, if conversation gets too uncomfortable, why not turn it into a game of "Questions and Answers" - ask him 5 questions - and then it is his turn!
It doesn't have to be deep and meaningful stuff - favourite type of music, best loved food, how he takes his coffee etc.
This way you each get to know a bit of each other, without feeling embarrassed about asking too many questions!

well it depends on the reason why you have not meet him for that long.
but if i were you, i would say "the past is history " what ever..... just give him a big hug.... and then try to talk to him and see what is going on in his life.. i am sure he has a lot to say ....good luck

first i would max out tht deadbeats credit card to make you feel a lilttle better for his long abscence then I would ask him why he wasnt there for me in those 11 yrs
