My last cat Martha used to love it when I would tell her she was a pretty girl. She'd look up at me with googly eyes, and sometimes her paw would reach up to my lips, as if to gently touch the source of the sweet words.
I say the same things to Poppy - that she's pretty and GOOD and sweet, but she doesn't give a fat rat's a$$.
Sophie is a daddy's girl, and lord knows what HE'S whispering to her. I tell her in normal tones that she's pretty, and she looks at me as if she's saying "well, duh!"

i tell him he's a super hot kitty and that i love him more then any other kitty in thee whole wide world.
he whisper's back some times "i think your a bit crazy mom".

i call my cats smooshies the one kneads whenever i call him that!- but my one cat actually whispers in my ear in the am if i don't wake up! he stands on my chest and actually whispers a low raspy meow in my ear, then tries to rub his gums on my mouth- so so gross- but i can't really stop him if i'm asleep- at least it helps me wake up- very quick!
