Well, if you mean the easiest and therefore fastest, for me it was English. I originally speak Spanish, and I learned English really fast. On the contrary I also tried to learn German and French and it was a lot harder.
Oh, I got it, well in words per minute I think it's French they really say a lot of words in one single phrase, maybe that's one of the reasons because of which I couldnt learn it.

What are the world's most widely spoken languages?
This question is a very interesting one that has a rather
complicated answer. Estimates of how many people speak a language are quite general and can vary considerably. For example, English estimates vary from 275 to 450 million, Spanish from 150 to over 300 million, Hindi from 150 to 350 million, and Russian from 150 to 180 million.
I will have to make a guess at the fastest spoken language.
I would say it is Vietnames, Chinese or another oriental country.

I think that must be spanish. But only if the person talking is native. I think everyone speaks his/her own mother language the fastest.

I would vote for Spanish.
I notice that they are even in a hurry when speaking their numbers. I work in a job that requires getting the customer's phone number and SSN.
Every other group of people say the phone number
5-5-5 2-3-4-5
The Spanish rattled that off:
Fifty-five, five, twentythree, fortyfive. They never separate the numbers.

I live in New Zealand (any one know where that is?) and Polynesian is pretty slow, eg. in Samoan it takes a long time just to say the same sentence in English. In Japanese, which I speak, you can skip out the entire main subject, and still have a conversation, so you can get alot said in a short amount of time.
