While baking Kolacky cookies, I pinched the folded edges together to only have them open during baking. Also tried wetting edges.
Any suggestions!! These were my first attempt.

You can go around the edges with a fork, Just press the tongs into the dough slightly. This should keep everything in place during baking. Good luck, and merry christmas!

My mum brushed egg white on the edges.. sticks better?

You could buy a crimper
Or, cheaper option, use the blunt edge of a spoon

try using an egg wash mixture instead of just water...its just beaten egg mixed with water...it will also give the cookies a golden look

I like the egg wash idea.

Also, make sure your dough is really cold when you stick it in the oven... even if you make them then chill them... they change shape less when cold adn hitting the heat of the oven.
