My ex boyfriend told me he is getting something for me for christmas because he wants to still be friends. We were together for 6 year and have been broken up for only 3 months, but I am already seeing someone else. What would be an appropriate "friends only" gift to get him?

GIRL have u lost ya mind don't get him sh** u seem like a really nice girl 4 trying to keep a friendship with this ex but lets keep it real ma. U just broke up with this man of 6yrs 3 mos ago and u already have a new man im sure he's not loving that especially if he hasn't found a new girl. Speaking from recent experience of a 6yr relationship that ended 3 1/2 mos ago he may send or give u something unexpected that could alter your life not to get to serious or get u to thinking to hard but think he is not the same man that loved u he is a new person as well r u that's why u 2 r no longer together its okay to be friends but at a distance.
I kept a good distance away from my ex this holiday and from word of mouth the gift that he planned to give me could have changed my life 4 the worst.
oh yeah by the way how does your new man feel about this exchange of gifts between u and your ex? and does he know?

Its the season of giving. You can say you do not want anything from him and would like him to respect your decision. Or like others have said get him a gift card

If it's something nasty and it's a joke, keep a slug on hand.
If not, think about what he likes, not something expensive, not something cheap, it would be best if you got something middle-priced that looks expensive so that if he gets you something expensive than he won't see the pricetag and think it's expensive and so on...
Hope this answers your question.

go to your local mall and if you have a "things remembered" store or something you can go in and buy a shotglass with something engraved on it. Instead of his name, just have them engrave a nickname that you called him or an inside joke.

If he is your ex there is no reason you should feel you have to give something. He shouldn't be givng you something expecting something in return anyway.
