When i went to the airport last month to go to Ohio they had this rule where you can't have liquids on the plane! Its really stupid its cuz people are starting to make bombs out of liquid or something but i was wondering why should they make us suffer? i know its for our safety but why?

And why do they make us take off our shoes and put them in a tray to scan? And make us empty our pockets and put it in a tray too?

Flying is a privelege, not a right--- like driving, you have to follow the rules that someone else makes or else you can't do it. All these rules, no matter how annoying or crazy or stupid they seem, are designed to make you safer.

US airports don't have the technology to detect liquid explosives in normal every-day items so they are only letting small amounts of liquid come on the planes. Not only does this make it a lot harder for someone to blow up the plane using liquid explosives, it puts the other passengers on guard; if you see someone on your flight mixing lots of little bottles of shampoo or hair gel, you may actually say something to the flight attendant, but before this rule, you probably would have just thought that person was bored or weird, but not out to cause harm.

Shoes need to come off because lots of shoe soles trigger false readings on the metal detectors. If you set off the metal detector, you need to get a secondary screening. If there are lots of false positives from shoe materials, then the entire security process gets even slower than it is, and people would be complaining about the wait time. Putting the shoes through the x-ray instead of wearing them through the metal detector cuts way down on the false readings and gets all the passengers through the security line a lot faster. Same with keys. There is always someone in line with something they forgot to take out of their pockets (cigarette packs and some kinds of gum wrappers set the metal detector off, too) and you see how everyone rolls their eyes because that person has to clear their pockets and go through the detector again. Imagine how much worse it would be if, instead of one person in every 25 or 50 doing that, it was one in every 5 or 10!

Because a cetain segment of the population ( and we all know who they are) wont us westerners to die miserable deaths. There most receont tactic was liquid bombs on airplanes. So until TSA gets that perfected they will have to make us suffer a little.

You answered your own question. It's for our safety, to stop another disaster like September 11. It's a f*cked up world at the moment, you'd better get used to these kinds of restrictions. Sorry to be the bringer of misery but that's unfortunately how it is.

Just put them in your checked in luggage. If there is no luggage to check in and you just have an overnight bag. Pop it into checked luggage and just wait an extra 10 minitues at the other end.

Or just buy cheeper liquids for the trip if your pariniod about baggage handelers.

You can still put stuff in your checked luggage
