In the summer, everyday for 5-7 hours.

Now during school, 4-5 times a week, 1-2.5 hours.

On weekends, 1 day 2 hour range and one day 9 or 18 holes. Most of the time I spend is the full swing. 45 minutes for putting and chipping. 30 minutes in the practice bunker.

But I also practice at home because I have a golf mat and a golf net for when I don't have time or can't go to Bridges. I can analyze my swing in my sliding glass door which acts like a mirror right behind me.

There, You got it out of me :)

P.S. I'm have a tee time today (12-21-06) at 11:40 a.m. You can join me if you want.

That's far more than I practice. And you will probably be a better golfer than me. I HATE going to the driving range and hitting off plastic mats and rubber tees. A couple of times a year during my holidays, I will go to a golf center and take a couple of hours' lesson.

The way I like to practice is to go out to my local course early in the morning and hit a 2 or 3 balls from each lie. And take some extra putts on the green and drop a couple in the traps and try to get them close. Of course you have to have an empty course...

Hey, but keep up the good work, and enjoy the best game in the world!

I would play 9 -18 holes twice a week and guage what i need to work on. Then I might practice at the driving range for about 3 hours a week, the putting green maybe an hour, chipping as well as putting (putting soon gets a bit boring for me) and I always spend a while practicing my bunker shots.
My boyfriend is a pro and tells me I need to spend more time on my chipping and putting. My driving and my iron shots are above average.
I shoot around 100 and have been playing six months. I find this works best for me...I still enjoy it but dont get burnt out.

I practice putting everyday for about 5-30mins.
I go to the range 1-2 times a week for about an hour.
I hit the course 1 time a week on the weekend.

HDCP is 12

2-3 times a week. at least 4 hours on putting, 4 hours chipping.
Full swing is in moderation since im not that good yet (15 handicap). Short game practice has taken my game to the next level. I consider myself better than bogey golf

if you want to be really good, you need to practice everyday, at least an hour or more. you really have to love golf, and have the time to be able to practice everyday. hopefully you live in an area where the weather never gets cold. I have been playing for 25 years and I'm a 5 handicap and I constantly learn new things about my swing. don't forget to practice your putting as much as you do your swing. to be really good you have to be a great putter. those guys on tv are all great putters. you can practice your putting indoors on your carpet if you can't get outside.

When I used to play competitevely (like, went to ProAms during high school), I practiced Tuesday-Friday playing 9 holes. Saturday and Sunday, I played 18 holes, and Monday was my lesson. I was in high school (Junior and Senior year, I didn't play on weekends during my freshman and sophomore year) and placed 8th place in New England for the Women's division.
