I feel wrong even writing that. ANyhow, my new puppy is 3 months old and she has had this slimy discharge literally hanging from her nonie. I have to wipe it off with a tissue. What is this? Why does it keep coming back? It's happened like three times in two weeks. I tried to google it but all I got was stuff about being in heat and I think she is to young for that. HELP! My vet is not in town for another two weeks.

It is probably just Juvenile Vaginitis. It can be very common, isn't dangerous, and usually resolves before the dog comes into her first heat. I would maybe call a vet tomorrow.

One of my dogs had it, and it looked like she had yellow snot coming out of her vulva. My vet said just to wait it out, because the antibiotics can cause more problems then they help. It took about a month and then it just went away.

Im so sorry to hear this. I don't know what's happening, is she just a young pup? It's possible it could be somthing you are feeding her. I hope the vet comes back soon. Hope all is well with your pup. Also does it look like she's in pain ?? If so maybe you should see another vet till yours comes back, you don't want her to be in pain for a week or so.

You need to get her into the vet asap, tomorrow morning at the latest. Even if it means going to a different vet.

It is possible she has a uterine infection. This is known as pyometra, and it can be deadly if not treated promptly.

a phone call is free. call other vets in other towns and explain, I DO! some will say it could be this and some will say we'll have to see it first. my dog did that while she was pregnant and cats do too. dogs go into heat at 8mo. and every six months afterwards good luck finding your answer.
