She has a urninary track infection and is currently at my house. She lives 3 hours away and forgot to bring her anti-bodics with her. She wants to leave and drive all the way home now. Will missing this one dose have a large effect or not? her next dose she will be home for is at 10 am tommrow morning

Have your gf call her doctor. Missing one dose will probably not be disastrous, but she should check with a medical professional. If she can't reach her doctor, any local doc will do, or possibly even a nearby pharmacist.

I would say call a pharmacy first if you are concerned about a missed dose and they can give you the best info, or call her doc if that is practical. You can buy OTC meds which will help ease the pain but won't clear up the infection. That and the normal things -- limiting soda intake and drinking plenty of water, etc will help you out. Please keep in mind I'm not an MD and these are just suggestions. Hope it helps a bit!

Well, what she is taking in is probably antibiotics. It is important to have this takne according to the dose ( usually 3 times a day for one week ) or depends on the severity of the disease. If she missed out one dose, its fine as long as she has taken the two for that day.What i mean is, she must have taken something for that day. And will continue it for one week. Hope this helps. Drinking cranberry juice helps with urinary tract infections. Also they make pills you can buy over the counter at a pharmacy for pain associated with urinary tract infections.

Missing one dose won't hurt. Have her drink lots of cranberry juice.

missing one dose will not hurt her just tell her to continue taking it when she gets home. also tell her to drink lots of cranberry juice or water. it will help get rid of the infection

no, if she missed 1 dose today it's fine, just take the next dose for tomorrow but do not double it, that would be harmful.
